Guests are picked up from their hotel or lodge by a professional safari guide driving a specially designed 4x4 safari vehicle. These vehicles are built for comfort and wildlife viewing, featuring wide windows and a pop-up roof that allows travelers to stand and observe animals from a higher vantage point. The interior seating arrangement ensures that every passenger has a clear view, and the vehicle is typically equipped with charging ports, binoculars, and a cooler box with drinking water or refreshments for the journey.

The drive from Moshi or Arusha to Tarangire takes several hours, passing through scenic rural landscapes, small villages, and open plains that give visitors a glimpse of everyday life in northern Tanzania. As the journey continues, the environment gradually changes into the distinctive savannah ecosystem that characterizes Tarangire. Upon arrival at the park gate, the guide completes entry formalities before beginning the game drive inside the park.

Tarangire National Park is famous for its large populations of elephants and its iconic baobab trees, which dominate the landscape and create a dramatic and unique scenery.
