Day 1: Arrival and Afternoon Safari
Good morning! We’ll pick you up early from Dar es Salaam or Morogoro, around 6:30–7:00 AM, so you can make the most of your first day. The drive to Mikumi National Park is scenic, passing through rolling hills, small villages, and open countryside, giving you a real taste of Tanzania’s landscapes.
Once we arrive at the park, we’ll head straight into your first safari drive. You’ll have the chance to see elephants moving gracefully through the acacia trees, giraffes feeding in the woodlands, zebras grazing, and if luck is on our side, even lions lounging in the shade. Mikumi’s mix of savannah and miombo forest makes it perfect for wildlife spotting and photography.
After the safari, it’s time to relax and unwind. Tonight, you’ll be staying at Mikumi Safari Lodge, a comfortable lodge with all the amenities you need. Dinner will be served, and you can enjoy the sounds of the African plains as you rest.
