From Moshi/Arusha -Tarangire National Park
We’ll pick you up early from Moshi or Arusha, around 6:30–7:00 AM, and head toward Tarangire National Park. The drive takes roughly 2–3 hours, passing through scenic villages and farmland as you leave the highlands behind. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, so get ready for a dramatic introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife.
Upon arrival, we’ll embark on a morning and midday game drive across the park’s varied landscapes, including open plains, riverine forests, and baobab-dotted areas. You’ll likely encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and if you’re lucky, predators such as lions and leopards. Bird enthusiasts will enjoy spotting species like the kori bustard, secretary bird, and various waterfowl along the Tarangire River.
Around midday, we’ll pause for lunch at a lodge or picnic site before continuing the safari. In the late afternoon, we’ll wrap up the day with a scenic drive and check-in at your lodge near the park. Dinner is served, and you can relax, reflecting on your first day of adventure.
