Day 1: From Moshi – Lake Manyara National Park
Your safari adventure begins early in the morning from Moshi, where you will be picked up by your professional driver-guide and begin a scenic drive toward Lake Manyara National Park. The journey takes you through the vibrant town of Arusha and onward along the Great Rift Valley escarpment, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes.
Upon arrival at Lake Manyara National Park, you will begin your game drive in this compact yet diverse park. Known for its lush groundwater forest, open savannah, and the alkaline lake itself, the park is home to elephants, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, and the famous tree-climbing lions. Flamingos and other bird species can often be seen along the lake shores, creating a colorful and lively atmosphere.
In the late afternoon, you will exit the park and drive to your lodge near the Manyara or Karatu area, where you will relax, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the next day’s journey.
